cocoon textiles - Designed near Fremantle, WA, our products are seriously limited edition. In collaboration with a small family-run business in India we only produce a small amount of each style each season in order to maintain the quality of these hand-crafted pieces. These garments are ethically produced using no child labour, toxic chemicals or unfair work practices, and because we work directly with our makers and there is no middle-man, these artisans are fairly paid for their work.
the prints - Working directly with a family of master printers in India, our original designs are translated to fabric using the age-old methods of wooden block-printing and screen printing. These fabrics are hand-dyed and produced in small quantities, often resulting in variations in colour and print - part of the beauty of a hand-crafted product, making each piece unique.
the fabrics - AW18 features an explosion of vibrant geometric prints on sturdy cotton and handwoven cotton khadi. An edit of past favourites and future winners will keep you covered from autumn to spring.
the garments - You can't please all the people all the time but we try to make styles that suit most body shapes. We're aware that most women have a least favourite part of the body that they'd like to camouflage, so we aim to flatter the good bits and disguise the bad. Most importantly, our clothes are comfortable and made to last more than a season.
care - We recommend washing your hand printed garments by hand in cold water with a mild detergent to keep them looking good for as long as possible. Natural fibres fade over time - looking after them means they'll age gracefully.
